Farewell to Rebirth Soaps

It has been over a year since we "stopped" selling our soaps. The fact that we have relocated outside of Metro Manila and that we have just given birth to our first baby has led us to decide to close shop.

It has been a truly wonderful experience to be in this "business," however short our experience may have been. We enjoyed all aspects of it (especially the times we had to work our brains to come up with creative ideas!!) and we will certainly miss it from time to time.

We would like to thank all the people who have supported us and bought our products during our 1-year existence. Here are photos of the last few orders we prepared before we finally closed shop.

Olive Oil and Poppy Seed Soaps for wedding giveaways! We had such fun preparing these sampler bars. We experimented with different packaging styles and settled on this one. We loved the way it turned out!

So far, we only offer this size for our CHOCOLATE, OATMEAL, PEPPERMINT, and STRAWBERRY WITH POPPY SEEDS variants. Previous customers have commented that these bars look good enough to eat! As Christmas Day draws near, we slow down a bit and take a bit of a breather in San Pablo City with our family. We've had a busy December with over 300 bars of soap wrapped and sold in December alone! Thank you to all those who've kept us "busy!" And now it is time for all of us to enjoy some family time and celebrate the REASON for the SEASON! Maligayang Pasko!

100 Bars Ready to Go!!

It was a busy weekend for us as we prepared 100 assorted mini-bars for delivery! It was quite an experience but there was nothing like the sense of satisfaction we both felt as we admired the finished soaps and packed them for shipping. (The box in the picture is not the box meant for shipping. It's only the box we used to transport the soaps to the delivery service office.)

We've scouted around for other ways to package and wrap our soaps. Here are some ideas that we really like! (Please note that these are not our own soaps. Rather these are the pictures which have inspired some of our soap packaging.)

Herbert's TOP 5 Variants

Being a guy, I will be quick and straight to the point. :-)

1. TEA TREE - really smells like the real thing (it's as if I was seeing or even smelling a real tea tree!)

2. GUAVA - The scent reminds me of my younger days, where as a young man, I would use crushed guava leaves to treat minor cuts, after eating my share of fruit from our tree.

3. AVOCADO - smells clean and fresh

4. PEPPERMINT - minty indeed! smells like toothpaste and feels nice and cool on the skin

5. CUCUMBER - aside from its known qualities, its scent reminds me of heno de pravia

Grace's TOP 5 Variants

We've decided to write a post about our favorite variants among our line of soaps. And I have volunteered to share my list first. So, here are my favorites in random order!

1. OATMEAL - I know this is meant to be in random order but I just had to write about this variant first because this is my favorite among all our variants! I absolutely LOVE the smell of this variant. It's sweet and nutty, vanilla-like scent reminds me of muesli. Everytime we have to package an oatmeal soap bar for delivery, it's fragrance wafts through the air and it lingers on. I love smelling this bar that Herbert often kids me about restraining me from taking a bite of the bar.

2. PAPAYA & GOAT'S MILK - What I love about this bar is its creaminess. I like the way it feels as it moisturizes my skin. My skin always feels soft to the touch after a shower with this bar. It has a mildly sweet scent which smells clean and fresh.

3. SHEA BUTTER - Among all the soaps in our line, this was the first bar I tried because I've always been a fan of any shea butter product. I wasn't disappointed with this bar. It did a great job of moisturizing my skin and leaving it soft and silky even hours after my shower. It's scent reminds me of talc powder.

4. PEPPERMINT - I love the tingly and cool feeling I get on my skin whenever I use this bar. It's minty fragrance reminds me of toothpaste!!!

5. STRAWBERRY with POPPY SEEDS - This combination is so original and unique that I was just naturally drawn to it. Its fragrance is reminiscent of sweet strawberries and reminds me of lipgloss. I love the mild exfoliating of the poppy seeds. I think this bar is a wonderful treat for the skin!

We are currently offering the following sixteen variants but will be adding more very soon!

CHOCOLATE
Chocolate contains cocoa butter which moisturizes and hydrates the skin. The caffeine in chocolate releases toxins leading to firmer skin.

HONEY OATMEAL
Oatmeal is a gentle exfoliant. It is non-irritating and is best for sensitive skin. Honey seals in moisture and keeps the skin soft.

TEA TREE
Tea tree is anti-bacterial and aids in regaining a healthy, balanced skin. Its soothing properties are best for pimples and skin blemishes.

GOAT’S MILK
Goat’s milk contains natural emollients and vitamins which soothe, moisturize and balance the skin.

GREEN TEA
Green tea is high in antioxidants for younger looking skin. It is antibacterial and has a calming effect on the skin.

COCOA BUTTER
Cocoa butter is a moisturizer which softens and protects dry, chapped skin. It helps in treating skin irritations and in preventing wrinkles.

ALOE VERA
Aloe vera moisturizes as it protects and aids in maintaining good skin health. It is best for healing dry, dehydrated and mature skin. It smoothens skin and helps prevent aging.

MILK
Milk is a natural moisturizer which delicately and gently cleanses the skin while leaving your body soft and smooth. It works well with any skin type.

PAPAYA & GOAT'S MILK
This soap combines the moisturizing qualities of goat's milk with the rejuvenating effects of papaya.

CALAMANSI
Calamansi refreshes the skin as it bleaches blemishes and helps in clearing acne. It also acts as a body deodorant.

PEPPERMINT
Peppermint refreshes the skin as it leaves a mild tingle. It leaves the skin feeling cool and shower fresh.

CINNAMON
Cinnamon is a natural anti-microbial that kills harmful bacterial. It prevents pimples and stimulates circulation and aids in skin toning as well.

SHEA BUTTER
Shea butter provides natural sun protection. It is a healing butter used to lighten scars and treat skin disorders. It moisturizes dry and chapped skin as it nourishes the skin.

COFFEE
Coffee is a natural exfoliant. The ground coffee sloughs away dead skin cells while its deodorant and antiseptic properties help keep skin fresh and blemish free.

STRAWBERRY with POPPY SEEDS
Strawberry is a mild astringent which conditions the skin and redues the appearance of pores. The poppy seeds gently massage and exfoliate the skin.

CUCUMBER
Cucumber is a natural astringent ideal for oily skin. Its many vitamins and nutrients refresh and moisturize the skin.

We currently offer a "BUY 10, GET ONE FREE" promo. If you avail of this promo, you will only be paying P54.00 per bar. (This will be until November 30, 2007 only.)

For orders of at least 100 pieces, we offer our soaps at only P50.00 per bar.

If you would like to try our soaps but can't decide which variant to try, we suggest that you avail of our sampler mini-bars. Our mini-bars are priced at only P20.00 per bar. We also have soap samplers (different mini-bars in packs of 3) at P55.00.
